Scientific visit to the DNO TAWKE

ON 20th and 27th of April, 2017, a Scientific trip was arranged by the department of chemistry to DNO TAWKE Petroleum processing plant for 4th stage BSc students, under the supervision of Dr. Mohammed Khalil and Dr. Kanaan Ramadan, to observe the oil production facilities from the well to exporting stages.
It is worth mentioning that, during the visit, all the DNO personnel were very responsive, informative and also so cooperative with the students. The purpose of the visit was to understand how oil is being produced, how different separators are used to extract different products from crude oil, how the units work, and how different environmental precautions are taken at the field. The officials at DNO guide the students regarding different aspects of treatment and gave the satisfactory answers to different questions raised by the students.
